To promote greater awareness and interest in caring for the environment, the City Government of Valenzuela launched yesterday (April 20, 2008), the 1st Mayor WIN Gatchalian Fun Fishing Tournament, held at Barangay Coloong, this City.

Approximately 150 fishing enthusiasts from all over the Metro, some coming from as far as Binan, Laguna, participated in the event, aimed at promoting the fishponds in Valenzuela as a prime sport fishing destination.
